Kettle corn is a family business for the Short family, and with good reason - college is expensive! The Short family is in the ministry by trade but uses kettle corn to help provide for the educational costs of their children. Fortunately, the family enjoys working together and their children are enthusiastic about the family business. You can find them all popping corn, handing out samples, and ringing up sales each Saturday at the market. The sweet smell of their freshly popped corn fragrances the air at the market on Saturday mornings. Poppin' Jon's offers traditional kettle corn and adventurous flavors. They experiment with new flavor combinations and offer seasonal special flavors for holidays. This makes each bag a new treat and something special to share with friends and family! Poppin' Jon's Kettle Corn is nearing its 8th season at the Fredericksburg Farmer's Market! Fresh kettle corn is available every Saturday at 7am-2pm from mid-March through December at Hurkamp Park. Poppin Jon's is certified by the health department of Fredericksburg. Stop by their stand for free samples!

Unable to make it to the market on Saturday? Good news! Poppin Jon's also does many other events aside from the farmer's market. They participate in events such as public movie nights at Hurkcamp Park, fall festivals, The Heritage Festival, 4th of July at Old Mill Park, and even the Fredericksburg Christmas Parade.
